2021 Cape Fear Blue Marlin Fishing Tournament
Come catch the excitement as Cape Fear’s Blue Marlin Tournament returns for its 48th season! One of the most highly anticipated early summer tournaments, the Cape Fear Blue Marlin event offers thrilling fishing, lots of camaraderie, and excellent prizes. Anglers and spectators alike will enjoy a fun weekend on the North Carolina coast.

What: 2021 Cape Fear Blue Marlin Tournament
When: June 2-5, 2021
Where: Wrightsville Beach, NC
Registration: Registration forms are available online. Print and mail in the form plus registration fee (payable by check). All boats must be registered with entry fees paid by 6 pm on June 2nd. The entry fee is $1,500 and enrolls you in the Level 1 total billfish point competition with Level 2 and Level 3 competitions also available for additional fees.

- Weigh-in at Seapath Marina from 4:30-7pm
Awards Ceremony & Party
- Saturday, June 5th at 7pm at the Intracoastal Angler
What to See and Do
If you plan to participate in the tournament, familiarize yourself with the rules and send in your registration form and entry fees before the deadline of 6pm on June 2nd. Attend the captain’s meeting and party on June 2nd, and choose your two fishing days along with your lay day for the tournament. Remember to submit a lay day form and release form.
Enjoy the excitement of the tournament and gather with your fellow anglers on Saturday night to celebrate the catch as you learn who will take home this year’s biggest prizes.
Those who aren’t competing this year are still invited to follow all the action. Check the tournament’s Facebook and Instagram pages throughout the event for daily scores and rankings update. Remember to watch for weigh-ins taking place between 4:30 and 7pm daily at the Seapath Marina.
