Meet Yachts360 Broker Dayton Depping

We sat down with Yachts360 Broker Dayton Depping to discuss growing up on the water, the decision to move to Fort Lauderdale, and his time as a Yachts360 broker.

Where is your hometown and what is your first boating memory??

I grew up in a small town in central Missouri, an hour drive away from the well known Lake of the Ozarks. This is where my love of water and boating began. My first boat was a 1995 Sea Ray 240 Open Bow. It was a perfect boat for our small family. Our two Labrador retrievers, loved going on evening boat rides and jumping off the back. She may have had quite a few hours on her but she never left us stranded.

What originally sparked your interest in boating/yachting?

At a young age I loved the water and being out on the boat. My summers off in college I began chartering at Lake Ozark and soon I figured out I wanted to do this year around, instead of the 4-5 month season in Missouri. My wife and I came to visit Fort Lauderdale, moved two weeks later, and have been here ever since.

Would you rather Captain, Mate or just be along for the ride?

While I prefer to be captain, I don’t mind being a passenger every once in a while.

What is your favorite aspect of being a Yachts360 broker?
