Meet Yachts360 Broker Johann

This week we caught up with Johann Faubel to discuss his boating roots, his time in the Coast Guard, and his transition into becoming a Yachts360 Broker.

Where is your hometown?

I was born and raised in Miami, Florida and spent most of my childhood on and around boats in the South Florida region.

What was your first boat?

My first boat was a ’91 Shamrock. Awesome boat with a Ford 302. She was a slow boat but I could always depend on her to get my friends and I to the fishing grounds and back.

What originally sparked your interest in boating/yachting?

Growing up in South Florida my father owned sailboats and my uncle had cigarette boats. From one extreme to the other, I learned to love being out on the water no matter what speed.

After high school I enlisted in the Coast Guard and served for 4 years in Puerto Rico, Virginia and California. I then transitioned into working as a captain and spent seven years running yachts up to 130′ from the Virgin Islands to New England and everywhere in between.

Would you rather Captain, Mate or just be along for the ride?

I enjoy being a Captain the most. The majority of my yachting career I have been a Captain but recently I have switched into brokerage with Yachts360.

What is your favorite aspect of being a Yachts360 broker?

I love being able to work in a competitive and rewarding environment. We have an amazing team with members bringing experience from all aspects of the yachting industry together. Yachts360 rewards it’s brokers for working together to accomplish a common goal, and there exists a brotherhood which is unlike any other brokerage.
